What nicotine strength?
The indication mg/ml describes how much nicotine a millilitre contains: 0 mg/ml is nicotine-free, 5–6 mg/ml is considered low, 10–12 mg/ml medium, 20 mg/ml is the statutory limit. Common questions about e-liquids
Why are there e-liquids only in 10 ml bottles?
Nicotine-containing refill containers may hold a maximum of 10 ml in Germany and the nicotine strength is limited to 20 mg/ml. Background information is in the article on liquid rules in Germany.
Which nicotine strength is the right one?
That depends on previous habits. 0 mg/ml is nicotine-free, 5–6 mg/ml low, 10–12 mg/ml medium and 20 mg/ml the statutory limit. The available strengths are on each product page.
Are there nicotine-free liquids?
Yes. All flavors with available 0 mg variant are collected in the category nicotine-free liquids, for example from Bar Juice 5000, RandM Tornado and LIQ IT.
Can I use e-liquids in disposable vapes?
No. Disposable vapes and pre-filled pods are not intended for refilling. For e-liquids, a refillable device is required, such as a Vape Kit with refill pods.
Is there a volume discount on liquids?
Yes: 10 % from 10 pieces and 15 % from 25 pieces, flavors, brands and strengths freely combinable. The discount is automatically calculated in the shopping cart and only applies to liquids.
Questions and answers about E-Liquids
How long does a 10 ml bottle last?
There is no fixed figure. How long 10 ml of liquid lasts depends on the device, the power setting, the resistance of the coil and the number and length of puffs. High-power devices use considerably more liquid than compact pod systems. Manufacturers do not give a general conversion into puffs or days either.
How much nicotine is in 10 ml of liquid?
This follows from the nicotine strength, which states the milligrams of nicotine per millilitre. A 10 ml bottle with 20 mg/ml contains 200 mg of nicotine in total, with 10 mg/ml it is 100 mg, with 5 mg/ml 50 mg. More than 20 mg/ml is not permitted in the EU for nicotine-containing liquids.
How long does liquid keep after opening?
The best-before date on the bottle applies. After opening, air reaches the liquid, and flavor and colour can change over time. Tightly closed and stored cool and dark, a liquid stays in good condition for longer. If it smells or tastes unusual or has darkened noticeably, it should no longer be used.
Where should liquid be stored?
Liquid is ideally kept tightly closed, cool, dry and protected from light, for example in a drawer or cupboard. Direct sunlight and heat, for example in a car, can alter flavor and nicotine. Nicotine-containing liquids must always be kept out of the reach of children and pets. A child-resistant cap is mandatory for nicotine-containing bottles.
Can nicotine salt liquid be used in any e-cigarette?
No. Nicotine salt liquids are generally intended for low-power devices with a mouth-to-lung draw, especially refillable pod systems. They are usually not used in high-power sub-ohm devices. Disposable vapes and closed systems cannot be filled at all. The device manufacturer states in the instructions which liquids are suitable.
