How long does a 10 ml liquid last? Bill, examples and savings tips

In short: A 10 ml bottle of liquid lasts for as many days as you share it with your daily consumption: 10 ml per day. So if you empty a 2 ml pod a day, you can do about 5 days; if you do 1 ml a day, it's about 10 days. How much you consume depends primarily on the device (Ohm value, performance), your train behaviour and the frequency of use – there are no fixed trains per bottle.

The simple formula

Range in days = 10 ml / your consumption per day (in ml)

Consumption per day Range of a 10 ml bottle
0.5 ml approx. 20 days
1 ml approx. 10 days
2 ml (one typical pod per day) approx. 5 days
3 ml approx. 3 days
4 ml approx. 2.5 days

The table is pure mathematics – good way to find out your own consumption is by yourself (see below).

So you measure your consumption

  1. Fill the pod to the mark and record how much it holds (stands on the packaging, often 2 ml or 3 ml).
  2. Write down after how many days or It's empty for hours.
  3. Filling amount ̄ days = your daily consumption.
  4. Calculate the range of a 10 ml bottle with the formula above.

Example: Your pod holds 2 ml and is empty after two days. Usage: 1 ml per day → a 10 ml bottle lasts about 10 days, for one month you need about three bottles.

What influences consumption

1. Ohm value and power

The lower the resistance of the vaporizer head and the higher the power, the more liquid is evaporated per train. A pod with 1.2 ohms is much more economical than a pod with 0.6 ohms. Sub-Ohm vaporizers with high performance consume multiples – but they are not intended for nicotine salt liquids with high strength anyway.

2. Train behaviour

Long, deep trains consume more than short ones. The frequency also plays a role: "By the way, if you vaporize all day, you empty a bottle faster than someone who pulls only occasionally.

3. PG/VG ratio

VG-rich liquids generate more steam, but are also consumed faster in suitable devices. For pods 50/50-liquids are common – for example the LIQ IT liquids.

4. Nicotine strength

Many users move more frequently or longer with lower nicotine strength. It's not a natural law, but it's an often observed effect. More information in the guide Nicotine salt liquid explained.

5. Leakness and loss

A leaky pod, overfill or liquid in the air duct costs liquid, without vaping it. Always fill pods only to the mark and close the stopper firmly.

How long does a disposable vape last in comparison?

In Germany, disposable vapes containing nicotine may contain a maximum of 2 ml liquid (the statutory limit for tanks and cartridges). A 10 ml bottle contains the liquid amount of about five such disposable fillings. If you regularly steam, you often get away cheaper with a refillable system and bottle liquid. The counselor explains how this fits together Liquid for pods and disposable vapes.

Example invoices for different user types

The following values are examples of calculations, not averages. They show how much consumption changes the range of a bottle:

Daily consumption One 10 ml bottle is enough Bottles per month (30 days)
0.5 ml approx. 20 days 1,5
1 ml approx. 10 days 3
2 ml approx. 5 days 6
3 ml approx. 3–4 days 9

For example, if you consume about 2 ml a day, you can spend roughly one month and one to two weeks with 10 bottles – at the same time reaching the 10-piece level of our volume discount. Details in the guide Mix & save liquids.

How much is steam per month?

With the figures above, the liquid requirement can be easily converted into euro. LIQ IT (6.€49 per 10 ml bottle, as of October 2026) results in:

  • 3 bottles per month (approx. 1 ml per day): €19.47
  • 6 bottles per month (approx. 2 ml per day): €38.94
  • 10 bottles with 10 % volume discount: €58.41 instead of €64.90

Added to this are pods or Evaporator heads, which have to be changed regularly depending on liquid and use. By the way, part of the bottle price is the liquid tax: 2026 is the 0.€32 per millilitre, i.e. 3.€20 per 10 ml bottle – regardless of whether the liquid contains nicotine. For more information see Liquid rules in Germany.

Does a 0 mg bottle last longer? Not automatically. Some even steam more without nicotine, because the train is softer. Consumption depends mainly on the train behaviour and the device.

Saving Tips

  • Cost-effective pod: A higher ohm vaporizer head (e.g. B. 1.0–1.2 Ohm) consumes less liquid.
  • Fill correctly: Do not overfill, leave pod to rest briefly after filling, close stopper clean.
  • Store correctly: Cool, dark and well closed – so the aroma is preserved and you don't have to throw away anything.
  • Stock with discount: In the Holster Shop there are 10 % from 10 pieces and 15 % from 25 pieces on liquids. If you consume about 1 ml a day, you need about three bottles a month – with ten bottles you have a good three months supply. For more information: Mix & save liquids.

How long is a liquid durable?

Each bottle has a minimum durability or manufacturing date or a batch number. Closed and properly stored, liquids usually lasts long. Opened bottles should be used quickly and kept well closed. If color or smell changes strongly, don't use it anymore. A slight discoloration with time is normal with some aromas.

10 ml LIQ IT liquids are listed in the category LIQ IT Liquids.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a 10 ml bottle of liquid last?

Share 10 ml by your daily consumption. At 1 ml per day, the bottle lasts for about 10 days, at 2 ml per day for about 5 days. Consumption depends mainly on device and train behaviour.

How many pods can I fill with 10 ml?

This depends on the pod size: With 2 ml pods, it is calculated five fillings, with 3 ml pods, well three fillings.

Why is my liquid empty so fast?

Common reasons are a low ohm vaporizer head, high power, long trains or a leaking pod. A more economical pod and proper filling help.

How many liquids do I need a month?

At 1 ml a day you need about three 10 ml bottles a month, at 2 ml a day about six. For stock, our volume discount from 10 articles is worth it.

Is a 10 ml bottle cheaper than disposable vapes?

One 10 ml bottle contains the liquid amount of about five nicotine-containing disposable vapes of 2 ml each. For regular users, a refillable system is therefore usually cheaper; in addition, the costs for device and pods come.

How many bottles of liquid do I need each month?

Cut 300 by the number of days a bottle holds with you and divide by 10 – or simply: daily consumption in ml times 30, divided by 10. At 1 ml a day, the 3 bottles, at 2 ml a day, are 6 bottles.

Do you consume more with nicotine-free liquid?

That's individual. Some pull more often or longer without nicotine, because the steam is softer. It's good to measure your consumption yourself for a few days.

Suitable in the shop: 10 ml liquids can be found at E-Liquids, z. B. LIQ IT or the Holster liquids in holster-shisha varieties. With the volume discount you save 10% from 10 and 15% from 25 liquids. Which liquid belongs to which device: Liquid for pods.

Note: All liquids and tobacco products in the Holster Shop are only sold to adults aged 18 and over, shipping only within Germany with age verification.
